My journey as a dog trainer began with 16 years of service in the military, where I specialised in Scent Detection as part of special forces operations. During this time, I learned to work with highly trained working dogs, building a deep understanding of their capabilities and how to enhance them through focused, results-driven training.

After transitioning from the military, I spent 2 years as a kennel manager at a boarding kennel, where I was introduced to the world of stock dogs and herding. This hands-on experience gave me valuable insights into working with a variety of dog breeds and personalities, allowing me to adapt my training techniques to meet the unique needs of each dog.

Now, as the owner of Canine Specialist Training, I am fully dedicated to helping dogs reach their full potential in Scent Detection and Herding. I use the same discipline, precision, and commitment I honed in the military to guide my training programs, ensuring that every dog, no matter their background, gets the chance to excel. My approach is individualised, understanding that every dog is different, and I focus on training methods that are not only effective but also build trust and understanding between you and your dog.
